All things Mike: As a teacher, coach, mountain biker, golfer, snowboarder, baseball player and coach

I am a history teacher who has evolved into a technology teacher at Hartford High School in Vermont. After teaching a fairly standard set of history courses for 15 years, I learned of SketchUp and its application in architecture. From this I started teaching local history through the 3D design of buildings. This led me to create a new technology program which uses SketchUp in combination with 3D printers which I have been doing this for the past seven years. Now instead of lecturing to my students I am working alongside them while challenging my own comfort level of what the role of a teacher is. In addition to teaching I am the varsity golf coach and STEM club advisor. I enjoy spending my free time golfing, mountain biking and spending time with my family. This website is devoted to my classroom projects and showcases what is happening in room 219 and the makerspace at Hartford High School. I also find sports and activities super important in growth of our students and I have put a lot of time in many activities at Hartford High School and continue to work with students in many different avenues.
